:: SCHEDULE FOR THIS WEEK - 19/2008

SCHEDULE FOR THIS WEEK
2008/19
23-29 June 2008, 26th week

Dear Spectator,

PASSPORT CONTROL 6 International Film and Photo Workshop finished on Saturday (or to tell you the truth on Sunday early in the morning) after a two hour – long evaluation and discussion of the works made by Serbian and Hungarian participants of the workshop between Thursday and Saturday in Subotica and Palic, Vojvodina, Serbia.

The workshop was organized within the framework of ETNOFEST International Music Festival, which took place in the same time, parallelly to the worskhop. The organizers of the workshop, with the guidance of Dejan VUJINOVIĆ programme co-ordinator – had created excellent circumstances for the workshop.

The workshop participants work hard not only to shoot their films there but to be able to present the first cut versions of them, thus to shoot and edit them within two days. Surprisingly there were 6 films to be shown at the end of the festival, though the filmmakers of each of them would like to re-edit them.

Every single film was made in Serbian-Hungarian co-operation, with Serbian-Hungarian crew. One of the films have even two versions: one of it is the Hungarian director’scut, the other one is the version of the Serbian cinematographer, which is really interesting, since two movies with totally different atmosphere were born from the same raw material. A longer documentary film was shot during the workshop starring the hair-dresser in Palic, who told us amazing stories how he and Félix Lajkó slipped into the lake in a car, about poachers and of course women... Hopefully this film will be edited soon, too.

Photographer participants also showed various photos at the closing ceremony. There were documentary and art photos as well among them.

You, dear spectator can watch these (mainly semi-finished) works now just a few days after the workshop. We would be glad if you watched the final versions, too, thus to follow the process of filmmaking.
