GYŐR-RELATED AWARD WINNERS AT THE HUNGARIAN FILM WEEK
Several Győr-related artists won prestigeous prizes at the 40th Hungarian Film Week.
First we mention the actor of the National Theatre of Győr, István Szilágyi, who received the Life Achievement Award. He acted in Zoltán Huszárik's Szinbád as well but this is history now. The presence is for the young people!
The Best Actress Award went to Júlia Ubrankovics for a role in Péter Bacsó's Almost Virgin who studied in Győr and worked at the MEDIAWAVE Festival.
Vidamon Tóth Máté won the Best Cinematographer Award for his work in the sci-fi '1'.
Finally but not at last we would like to mention Éva Zabezsinszkij, the dramaturg of the Grand Prix winner film, Last Times, who has just won the prize of Filmfund Győr's application with her screenplay.
Two Greek filmmakers will come to this year's Passport Controll - Summer Art Workshops and Community Gathering, to lead film workshop for students. Film director Karina Logothetis and sound designer Vasilis Zlatanos won the award for the Most Original Short Film at the 33rd edition of the Mediawave Film Festival this year, with their short fiction Pebble.
