In the grant we schemed a project with four different stages in three different countries – Italy, Romania, and Hungary – realized between August 2011 and June 2012. Our partners are the CLOPOT Foundation in Suceava, Bukovina, Romania, and the ARCUS Association in Capri, Lombardy, Italy.
Our starting point is to create a coffee house which will become more and more real throughout the project placing music in the centre together with roma and non-roma musicians. On the planned locations in an international workshop frame the participant musicians will create the outline of the performance which will only be realized at the closing event. In other words we will try three different musical aspects out which will be combined with various related art forms such as literature, dance and fine arts. That’s how we achieve to show a different side of our expanding coffee house which will be fully materialized at the MEDIAWAVE Festival 2012.
We will give news about the details and the shaping of the project regularly. We are only at the beginning of the beginning but we are sure that this project has a lot of exciting results not just for us but also for the MEDIAWAVE friends!
